Greg co-founded Berntson Porter and is the chair of the consulting departments as well as President of Berntson Porter Wealth Management, LLC. In addition to Greg’s tax and consulting work, he is well known for his work in the Forensic, Economic and Valuation Services Group as an expert witness (PDF) and impartial Special Master to the court.

Mr. Porter has served on numerous boards of directors, including the Washington Policy Center, Gen Next, WSU College of Business National Board of Advisors and the Northwest Wine Benefit Foundation, dba Auction of Washington Wines.

Greg was recognized as a “40 under Forty” honoree by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) in 1999. He also played football for Washington State University, where he was named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Team.

Bob co-founded Berntson Porter in 1985 and has more than 32 years of experience helping clients identify, clarify and achieve their organizational and personal goals. He is responsible for the firm’s long-term strategic vision and implementation. Under his management, Berntson Porter has become a recognized leader in tax, accounting, and a wide variety of consulting services.

Practice specialties include strategic business planning, estate and wealth planning, and transaction and succession advisory.

Gregory Noone co-founded BPCA in 2017, and currently serves as a Managing Director. In his role, Gregory advises private companies on major capital transactions, including business sales and acquisitions. His experience includes transactions across a range of industries, including Manufacturing & Distribution, Aerospace, Business Services, Professional Services, Vineyards & Wineries, and Construction Products & Services.

Prior to joining BPCA, Gregory spent five years as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with a Seattle-based M&A advisory firm, where his responsibilities included all legal & compliance duties, as well as transaction execution.

Gregory spent 9 years as a Senior Associate with Dillon Eustace, a major Irish law firm, including 5 years as Managing Lawyer of the firms Asian Office in Tokyo, Japan. His areas of legal practice included banking, investment funds, securities, mergers & acquisitions, and asset management, where he advised a wide range of U.S., Asian and European based clients establishing complex legal structures in Europe and the U.S.

Gregory is a graduate of University College Dublin, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Law and a Master of Laws in Commercial Law (LL.M). Gregory is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Law Society of Ireland and the Legal & Regulatory Authority of England & Wales, and is admitted to practice as an attorney in each of those jurisdictions. Gregory also holds FINRA Series 24, 63, 79, 82 and 99 licenses.

Pitt Means co-founded BPCA in 2017, and currently serves as a Managing Director. In his role, Pitt advises private companies on major capital transactions including business sales, acquisitions, and raising capital. His experience includes transactions across a range of industries, including Manufacturing & Distribution, Business Services, Construction Products & Services, and Food Processing.

Prior to BPCA, Pitt spent three years as a Senior Director with a Seattle-based M&A advisory firm, where his responsibilities included marketing, business development and transaction execution.

From 2005 to 2014, Pitt held operating roles with ShareBuilder Securities and United Online, holding positions in Business Development, Strategy, and Marketing. At ShareBuilder, Pitt helped launch and grow the ShareBuilder 401(k) business line, including developing product and pricing specifications, securing strategic marketing partnerships, and creating a reseller channel. After supporting the acquisition and integration with ING DIRECT, Pitt ran the IRA business for ING DIRECT, significantly accelerating growth in accounts and assets while leading efforts to improve the customer experience. At United Online, Pitt ran customer acquisition marketing for the Classmates business line, responsible for generating registrations through search, display, affiliates, and social media channels.

Pitt previously worked as an investment banker with Montgomery Securities in San Francisco and Delafield Hambrecht in Seattle.

Pitt received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Pitt holds FINRA Series 7, 28, 66 and 79 licenses.

Jason has +20 years of investment banking experience and joined BPCA in 2020. He leads M&A business development and execution efforts for companies seeking a sale, recapitalization, growth capital or buy-side transactions. Jason focuses on the software and technology services markets – within software he primarily works with founder-led, bootstrapped companies with less than $10m in ARR. Jason has also executed transactions in the business services, aerospace, manufacturing, building products and consumer products sectors.

Prior to joining BPCA, Jason served as a Director at KeyBanc Capital Markets in the Technology M&A group. His responsibilities included transaction execution and business development for companies in the software, technology services and internet & digital media sectors. During his fourteen years at KeyBanc, he also advised companies in their debt capital markets transactions.

Prior to KeyBanc, Jason worked at LOUD Technologies and Delafield Hambrecht in finance, corporate development and investment banking roles. He received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Jason holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Mike Matysik has over 30 years of experience as a senior business executive, business founder and entrepreneur. Working for and advising companies ranging in size from multi-billion, multi-national firms, to small start-ups, Mike has a rich breadth of operating and transaction experience. He has raised over $400 million in debt and equity financing and has negotiated and structured over $600 million in merger & acquisition transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side during his career. 
 
Mike’s professional experience includes service as CFO of Cardiac Science, a $200+ million revenue public company (Nasdaq: CSCX), service as EVP/CFO for DMX Music, AEI Music and Corning Nichols (a division of Corning, Inc.), as well as service for over 6 years as a CPA with the international accounting firm Deloitte and Touche.
 
Subsequent to the sale of Cardiac Science in 2010, Mike co-founded Broadview & Co, which has structured more than 20 transactions to acquire and operate real-estate throughout the US, valued at well over $100 million. During this time, Mike has also provided, and continues to provide, executive and board level consulting services to a several private and pre-IPO companies, has invested in and raised equity capital for a number of start-up companies, and has helped lead and structure other private company transactions.  
 
Mike has BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Southern California, where he was a Graduate Business Fellow and Rockwell Scholar.
