Berntson Porter Corporate Advisory, LLC (“BPCA”), an M&A advisor serving middle market clients in the Pacific Northwest, today announced it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the owners of Western Integrated Technologies, Inc. (“WIT”), based in Kent, WA, in a sale to SunSource, based in Addison, IL, a portfolio company of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (“CD&R”).
Founded in 1969, WIT is a leading fluid power and industrial systems & components distributor and manufacturer with 12 distribution points throughout the Western US and Pacific Islands. Operating out of 6 distribution centers, WIT is a full-line Parker Hannifin distributor for fluid power, electronics and connectors, while offering non-competing products from other Fortune 500 manufacturers. WIT serves a diverse customer base including commercial OEM’s and end-users across aerospace & space launch, agriculture, mining, power generation, and vocational truck fabrication, as well as military and municipal customers.
SunSource is a value-added distributor of fluid power and fluid process technologies in the US and Canada. As a technically-focused distributor, SunSource serves as an extension of its customers’ design and engineering teams and its suppliers’ sales forces, delivering innovative solutions that lower total costs and streamline supply chains.
CD&R s a leading private investment firm with offices in New York and London. The firm invests in businesses that span a broad range of industries, including industrial, healthcare, consumer, technology and financial services end markets.
This is the seventeenth completed transaction that BPCA has advised on since the firm’s formation in 2017. Other completed M&A transactions include companies in the manufacturing, industrial services, professional services, consumer products, construction, technology, and distribution sectors.
